The resources in this section have been designed to support teachers in implementing financial literacy education in an integrated way with the current curriculum. Further materials to support other subjects, courses and grades will be added to this section over the course of the school year.
The Scope and Sequence document identifies expectations and opportunities related to financial literacy in the Ontario curriculum for grades 9-12.
The video segments illustrate examples of financial literacy education connected to different courses, pathways and grades. Viewer guides include descriptions of the videos and reflective questions for before, during and after viewing. Viewer guides for Professional Learning Facilitators include time codes for each segment of the videos, making it easy to identify and highlight key themes throughout the videos. Lesson plans are included for each video illustrating additional context, links and assessment for learning.
Highlights Videos are available to introduce financial literacy education to your school community. Shorter and longer versions are available for both the elementary and the secondary video series.
