Teaching and Learning Examples now posted
- Teaching and Learning Examples are now available for elementary and secondary teachers to help plan lessons related to financial literacy education. Included are examples of cross-curricular and subject-specific approaches for teachers to use and adapt as appropriate for the students in their classroom. The teaching and learning examples reflect a number of elementary and secondary grades, subjects, courses and pathways.

A Guide to Curriculum Resource Writing Projects now posted
- A Guide to Curriculum Resource Writing Projects is now available. The guide contains information and recommendations to aid Subject/Division Associations on curriculum resource writing projects: initial planning stages, hiring writers and reviewers, training writing teams and publishing finished resources to the web.

Secondary Financial Literary Highlights Videos now posted
- A longer version of the secondary highlights video is now available and can be found in Highlights Videos. This video could be used by teachers independently or by professional learning facilitators to provide an overview for educators of the wide range of video resources for financial literacy which reflect a number of grades, subjects, courses and pathways.

- Highlights Videos are available to introduce Financial Literacy to your school community. Short and longer versions are available for both the elementary and the secondary video series. The short versions videos provide an overview of financial literacy in Ontario, highlighting Ontario's vision, approach and the resources available. Updated Viewer Guides for School Administrators
- Two updated viewer guides have been added in the School Administrators folder, one for elementary school administrators Selected Highlights for Elementary School Administrators, and one for secondary school administrators Selected Highlights for Secondary School Administrators. These viewer guides replace the Video Viewer Guide for Administrators, and the secondary document has been updated to include the two additional secondary videos released on December 7, 2011. These guides outline selected clips that could be used to introduce a discussion about financial literacy with staff or parents. Also included are reflections from principals, vice principals and school board staff that highlight perspectives offered by administrators within the videos.

Financial Literacy Videos: Selected Highlights for Elementary and Secondary School Administrators now posted
- An initial sample of video clips was recently posted on Financial Literacy GAINS to illustrate different ways of helping students learn about financial literacy using the current curriculum. This short viewer guide will support elementary and secondary school administrators as they raise awareness of financial literacy education and start discussions with the school staff and school community.

Financial Literacy GAINS site launched
- Financial Literacy GAINS has been created to provide educators with effective strategies to support financial literacy education. Background information about financial literacy, related links and resources including scope and sequence documents, and a selection of video resources, accompanied by viewer guides, are available on the site. Additional resource materials are in development and will be posted on the site as they become available.

These documents are posted on the Ministry website at
