Literacy Assessment Matters
This professional learning module was developed by York Region District School Board for Literacy GAINS. It features a collaborative inquiry cycle on literacy learning and reading assessment in history, geography, and English classrooms in two secondary schools in YRDSB. Professional learning facilitators may use this module to advance understanding of how reading assessment prompts responsive instruction and how collaborative inquiry supports teacher professional learning.
